The elegant pendant necklace is made with “potion” bottles filled with glow-in-the-dark sand and clear microbeads and embellished with two star charms that resemble the Mill Mountain Star.

The sand is white during the day and glows blueish-turquoise (like Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains!) after it’s charged by sunlight or fluorescent light.

I’ve been disappointed by too many glow-in-the-dark products in the past, but this sand impresses with a bright glow after only 15 minutes in the sun. The sand manufacturer says it can be charged millions of times.
